Bill is an enigmatic soul. He's also a Canadian photography legend. As the photographer for former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, his keen eye has captured historic moments and left a mark on Canada's photography landscape. This series of Bill turns the tables and puts him in the subject's place.

Oh, Bill. You really must know Bill. He's kind, talkative and easy to shoot. His many years behind the lens have made him intuitive, pliable, and downright giddy to try something new.

Expression is important when shooting portrait. This frame was quickly captured while discussing something we've long since forgotten but Bill's reaction will live forever.

Colour and light can set the mood when making a portrait – with darkness and solitude as the direction we couldn't help but ind a reason to laugh anyway.

Bill's turn at Karsh's Hemingway (remember that first image up top?) wasn't without it's moments of levity. Maybe the sweater was itchy AND funny.
